Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurant biz is suddenly (temporarily) in jeopardy.
According to reports, two of the longtime Bravo-lebrity’s El Lay-area restaurants have had their liquor licenses suspended by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Uh-oh!!
On Tuesday, People reported that Lisa’s longtime Los Angeles-based lounge Pump had its liquor license suspended last week by the state control board. As of Tuesday afternoon, per that outlet’s reporting, it appears as though the hotspot’s license is still up in the air.
There was a reason for the hold listed on the state’s official website: “collections suspension.” Per the mag, Pump’s license had been scheduled to expire on April 30. But clearly, something happened in the interim to knock them off track.
The mag also reports TomTom — which Lisa co-owns with Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval — had its liquor license suspended last week! However, after just a couple days, that problem was solved. By Friday, according to the WeHo Times, TomTom’s liquor license was reinstated.
As for Pump, it’s unclear what the game plan is going forward. It is typically closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. But following last week’s abrupt license pause, the restaurant shuttered on previously-planned operating days. Outside the venue, locals reported that a sign on the door claimed “heavy rains” were the cause of this past weekend’s unexpected blackout:
“Due to heavy rains, we are forced to close this weekend. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.”
As for Lisa, People notes her rep hadn’t yet responded to a request for comment as of Tuesday. As Perezcious readers may recall, she also owns SUR in El Lay, Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas, and the newly-opened Vanderpump à Paris, which is also in Sin City.
Lisa has plenty on her plate from an infamy standpoint, too. Her biz parter Sandoval has been embroiled in a massive cheating reveal after he was caught having an affair with VPR co-star Raquel Leviss behind girlfriend Ariana Madix‘s back. Of course, that affair has nothing to do with these liquor license suspensions. But now, this news marks yet another problem popping up in Lisa’s sphere!
Reactions, Perezcious readers??
